Why Rachel Tuchman, LMHC chose to be in the helping profession

I have always found fulfillment in fostering positive change in people's lives through the mental health field. It is incredibly gratifying to witness individuals overcome challenges, grow emotionally, and develop healthier ways of coping.

I trained to become a mental health professional because I wanted to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Seeing the transformative power of therapy and the potential for healing inspired me to pursue this path.

I enjoy building strong connections with my clients, creating a safe and supportive space for them to explore their emotions and thoughts. Guiding individuals through their personal journeys and witnessing their progress brings me a deep sense of joy and purpose.

Rachel Tuchman, LMHC's approach

While I commonly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary therapeutic modality, I also incorporate ABA and DBT techniques to tailor the treatment to each client's unique needs. For clients who may not have the prerequisite skills or capabilities to be immediately insightful, I draw upon my background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to target and address problem behaviors effectively.

As a straightforward and no-nonsense practitioner, my focus is on facilitating effective and efficient treatment. I believe in empowering clients to become their own agents of change and acquire the necessary skills and insights to manage their challenges independently. While I am committed to providing compassionate support, my ultimate goal is to empower clients with the tools and strategies to navigate life's complexities confidently, enabling them to thrive beyond therapy without becoming reliant on ongoing treatment.
