About

Aliza Shapiro, LCSW, is a licensed clinical psychotherapist practicing in New York and Florida, and founder of Therapy in the City LCSW, PLLC. In her clinical work, Aliza works with adolescents, young adults, and adults to overcome a wide array of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, and navigating transitions in everyday living.

Aliza was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by psychiatrist Dr. Charles Swenson; and in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) by Harvard psychologist, Dr. David Rosmarin, with a specialization in treating OCD and other anxiety related disorders. A caring and compassionate clinician, Aliza utilizes evidence-based practices, and takes a strength-based approach to helping individuals find success, meaning, joy, and personal growth in their lives.
