Parenting requires healthy role models. If one’s family of origin was tumultuous and complex that would impact on one’s ability to parent properly. If one’s family of origin was accepting and loving that would positively impact on the parent. Healthy skills can be learned and inculcated with a safe trusting therapist.

So true. thanks Naomi. It’s just that it takes us all a while to realize what was unhealthy in the way we were raised and then we need to look within and find those faults in ourselves and then train ourselves to be different and healthier with our children.
