    Hi,

I struggle with journaling on a regular basis. Does anyone have any tips that have made journaling easier for you and less of a burden?

Do you have any recommendations for a website or app that can help?

I also struggle with what to journal about. Like when I sit down to write I usually feel like I have nothing to write about but i know that isn’t the case… What prompts do you use to help you?

    Thank you all so much!
    Really enjoy this forum!

    Maybe a prompt could be:

    – How am I feeling now?
    – What was the best part of my day?
    – What am I grateful for and why?
    – Did I have any victories today?
    – What was hard about my day and what can I do to improve it?

Those are a few things that come to mind.

I say- do it whenever you feel like it

If you make yourself do it on a daily basis then it sucks the joy of it

Also remember that you don’t have to write descriptively. Its only for YOU to read and you aren’t submitting it anywhere. Whatever you write is good. Just dump out your feelings however you want to

You can google journal prompts if you aren’t sure what to write about

    I like prompts such as:

“What are some ways that I grew in the past year”?

“What am I struggling with currently”

“What expectations of life do I need to drop?”

    “What would I benefit from”?

“What has the last year taught me”

    Shmuel-

To echo batsheva86, I found myself wondering why you would feel pressured about journaling. Is there a specific reason you feel journaling is a must for you, or any goal you have in mind?

Another point that might be helpful:

I found that journaling got much easier when I switched from paper and pen to a Google doc.

I sometimes close my eyes as I type, and I find I express myself well sometimes like that.
