Because many women grow up with well-intended people “teaching” them how and what to eat, they lose the ability to listen to cues that their bodies are giving them...and instead follow “rules” that they’ve set for themselves. Over time, this leads to a complete disconnection of the mind and body.
This often looks like:
Binge eating, restriction, avoidance of sugar and carbs, obsession over the scale, poor body image, and harmful self-talk about your lack of control and discipline.
Intuitive eating means that you make decisions about what to eat based on what your body wants and needs, not what your mind tells you that you are allowed to do. If you listen, your body is giving you constant information. I am hungry, I want this, I don’t want this, this is how much I need, this is when I need it, this doesn’t feel good, this does feel good. It can feel impossible to tap into that voice when it’s been silenced for so long because of chronic dieting.
During our sessions, you’ll learn how to:
Eat in a way that feels normal and Intuitive.
Get rid of guilt and shame surrounding food.
Live in a body that feels good.
