What do you want out of life? What is it that fuels you and provides you with joy? When struggling with anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors or self-criticism, a life of meaning can seem out of reach. We are disconnected from that which we truly want and desire. It becomes hard to find motivation and even harder to remain motivated. Fear, doubt, and dread can overwhelm our sense of self. Even if we have some idea of what we want, we feel stymied from moving forward and creating a fuller and richer life for ourselves. If you are feeling stuck, I want to help you connect and reclaim your passion for life.
I work primarily with adults on issues pertaining to mood and emotion dysregulation, trauma, identity, and relationships. In our work together, we will use tools from psychodynamic and relational therapies, ACT, and mindfulness-based CBT to cultivate self-understanding, acceptance, and self-compassion. As you learn to accept your full humanity and embrace who you are, life will take on new meaning: meaning that can get you through unsettling times and help you accomplish seemingly insurmountable tasks.
I believe that anyone who embarks on the therapeutic process can learn to move forward mindfully and with a new sense of gratitude. Congratulations for taking the first step to strengthen yourself and heal! If my approach resonates with you, please be in touch. I wish you all the best on your journey of growth and inner peace.
